"My 1MB L2 cache DIMM arrived this morning
and is happily chugging away in my PowerWave 120 w/Newer MAXpowr 200MHz
CPU upgrade. I had been running the 210/60 settings on the CPU card without
any L2 cache installed. Upon installing the cache DIMM I had to take it
down to 200/50 but still got nearly a 200% performance boost over the previous
settings. Mac Bench 4.0 clocks in at 509 processor/647 fpu." Chris
Colando, Atlanta, GA
" ...Very cool. I can capture full frame video at around 15 FPS
without an m-jpeg card using the 8500's built-in digitizer. Encoding Cinepak
is about 7x faster than the 7100/80 I was using. ElectricImage becomes a
nearly real-time photorealistic rendering environment. I am getting no more
crashes than with a single processor (next to nil)." John Strader,
Chevron, San Ramon, CA
"After installing the MP400MHz card
in my 9500/132 I don't know what is more impressive, the fact that it only
took 6.5 min to install with no glitches, or the fact that it cut over 2
hours off one of my most complex calculations!!" Todd Johnson, Los
Angeles, CA
"I upgraded my 9500/132 to the MP 360 - and
a Gaussian blur that used to take over 40 minutes on the 9500 took only
6 minutes with the MAXpowr MP 360 : Awesome" Kevin G, Brooklin,
MA
"In Bryce 2 at 640 x480 rendered on my 8500/150MHz
it took 3mins 18secs and with the MAXpowr 225MHz set at 240MHz/60MHz
Bus speed it took 1min 18secs. In ID I rendered an animation, ray traced,
at 320 x240, and it took less than a minute for each frame. I think this
is almost twice as fast as the 150MHz!!" S.P, Bellefont, PA
"I recently purchased the 225 MHz CPU
upgrade. It is amazing how much faster my 7600 is." Kevin
DeFreest, Oakland, NJ
"...for anyone who is considering purchasing
products from MacCPU. I was very pleased at their assistance with helping
me get my machine up to speed. I am recommending them to all my friends
and business associates who want to also increase the speed of their machines.
I was impressed how they have researched and tested various boards and only
provided the best solution for upgrading my 8500/120 to a stable
speed of 225MHz with a 56.25 MHz bus. I did many 'before and
after' benchmarks and estimate that I will be 40 - 50% more productive each
workday.
Thanks MacCPU" Randall Byrd, Atlanta GA
"...your site offers more information about
the relationship between bus speed and processor speed than I've been able
to find anywhere! Thanks for the education." J Cabannis, Texas
"Thanks for the quick reply. Your reassurance is comforting and
I applaud your high level of customer service. I can't wait to pop in the
200MHz card... Thanks. Mark Fairhurst, Toronto
"I've been playing around with all my new
programs seeing the GREAT improvement with the 200MHz card. Your
service has been nothing short of exceptional... " S Saeed, Kent,
OH
"Thanks very much for the extremely terrific
service from the order notification to the tracking info. I've just completed
installation - took me around 10 minutes total time on my 8500 (what took
longer was pulling off all my connections so that I could easily open the
case, than setting the dip switches and actually installing the card). Craig
